Facilities and Trails

Visitors can enjoy the 5K Friendship Trail around the preserve. Runners, hikers, and cyclists are welcome on this roughly 3.1 mile trail. ATVs are not permitted.

The trail is perfect for 5K cross country running races. Woodcock has hosted the 5K and 10K Timberdoodle race two years in a row.

While hunting is prohibited to the public, there is a small group of hunters who maintain the 5K trail and control the white tail deer population.

Woodcock is home to a wide variety of native and naturalized plants, perfect for foraging and sustainably cultivating medicinal plants. There is a chestnut tree orchard on the property as well.

Located at the Summit of the preserve, we have a campsite with benches, a picnic table, a fire pit, and an open space perfect for pitching a tent. Our two Porta-Potties are located next to the campsite. Camping is open to the public by permission only.
